Jesus taught his disciples to forgive those who offend them repeatedly, even seven times in a day. The disciples thought this was over the top, they surely needed more faith. Jesus essentially taught them that it was not faith they needed, what they needed was simple obedience. And for them to forgive in the manner He was telling them, they were not doing anything exceptional, they were merely doing that which they were commanded to do. Don't forgive when you feel like forgiving, its not a matter of your emotions, it is a matter of your will.

Major Ian Thomas often said, "The death of Christ for us was to put the life of Christ in us." In many respects, this statement is quite descriptive of this message. We often look at Romans 6 with an emphasis on our victory over sin, and indeed it is. However, this is not the end of the matter, but a necessary element for an even greater end - that being the resurrection life of Christ operating within us as we live unto God. Listen to this very practical Easter Sunday message and see how the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ was designed to empower our daily life in Christ.
