But, Where Are the Nine?
Jesus was making His way to Jerusalem when He came upon a small village. He was met by ten lepers, desperate men, who cried out to Him and begged for mercy from afar. Jesus did not tell them they were cured, but sent them on their way to show themselves to the priests in Jerusalem. All ten went obediently on their way. Some where along the way, they discovered that they were cured of their dreadful disease. One man shouted with a loud voice and gave God the glory, then made his way back to Jesus to thank Him for cleansing him. Jesus looked at this grateful man and asked him, "were there not 10 cleansed?, But, where are the nine?" We too have been cleansed of something much worse than leprosy... are we like this one grateful man who returned to give thanks? Or are we more like the nine?
