The Bible states plainly that we are in a war and every soldier of Christ needs strength to stand so that he may fight the battle. Our text teaches us that we must stand praying, praying always, praying with all prayer, praying in the Spirit, watching in prayer, persevere in prayer and pray for all the saints. Prayer is not just an activity in the Christian's life, it is his very occupation. No one will stand nor be effective in the battle apart from prayer. (This is the second part of a two-part message)

A Lesson in Humility

Nebuchadnezzar made a bold statement in Daniel 4 that resulted in some rather humiliating consequences. However, after seven years of wilderness training, he came to his senses and learned a lesson he would not soon forget. His lesson was a lesson in humility, and we would do well to examine our own hearts for attitudes of pride lest we bring upon ourselves consequences of the same nature.
