Going Through a Storm with the Lord

Jesus led His disciples right into the midst of a fierce storm in the night. What was He trying to do? Was there any correlation between the activities of the day and the storm in the night? This passage linked to its context lends some additional insight to an already amazing demonstration of the awesome power of our Lord over the natural elements.
A Life Poured Out For Thee

When Mary took the alabaster box of precious ointment and anointed the head of Jesus, the Lord gave an amazing commendation for her deed of devotion. Each of us have something very precious as well, and we would do well to pour it out unto the Lord. If and when we do, we can take something that was temporal and give it eternal value.
