The Floods May Come, But God Stands Sure

Psalm 93 is short, but its message is vital! The Lord reigns, He always has. He is clothed with majesty and strength. And the floods come, they often will, and every one of us will experience them in one way or another. But the good news is that God is mightier than the floods. His Word if very sure, His character is very pure, and He allows the floods of life so that we, His people might be purified on the other side of our floods in life.

Trust God Alone

Hebrews 13:5-6 Contains a wonderful promise that is at the heart of five encouraging exhortations. When we understand the fact that our ever-living God has made us an unconditional promise regarding His never-ending presence and His ever-loving acceptance we can find strength to avoid the sin of covetousness, we can find contentment in His provisions, and confidence in His assistance to resist the debilitating fear of men. All of this hinges upon the understanding that the Lord will never leave us nor forsake us.

The Seven "No Mores" of Heaven

Heaven is a glorious place. The Apostle John chose to describe it in an unusual way - not by what we would see, but by what we would not see. Our sin cursed earth has many problems; problems we will be most happy to part with when we leave here and go to be with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. May these truths encourage you to look forward to your glorious future, and may they compel you to share it with those who are not yet on their way.

God's All-Sufficient Grace

The Apostle Paul experienced what he referred to as a "thorn in the flesh". We don't know what it was, but we do know it was not what he wanted. He besought the Lord three times and received an amazing answer to his prayer: an answer that involved three key words (1) grace (2) glory and (3) gladness. This message describes the relationship each has to the other and what they all have with regard to God's miraculous intervention in our lives.

Our deliverance in times of trouble lies in the discipline of being still that we might recognize the power, the presence and the purpose of God.
