Lord, I Need Help - Quick!

David is in trouble and he needs help quick. There is no time for formalities, no time for rhetoric, just raw need.
Going Through a Storm with the Lord

Jesus led His disciples right into the midst of a fierce storm in the night. What was He trying to do? Was there any correlation between the activities of the day and the storm in the night? This passage linked to its context lends some additional insight to an already amazing demonstration of the awesome power of our Lord over the natural elements.

A Life Poured Out For Thee

When Mary took the alabaster box of precious ointment and anointed the head of Jesus, the Lord gave an amazing commendation for her deed of devotion. Each of us have something very precious as well, and we would do well to pour it out unto the Lord. If and when we do, we can take something that was temporal and give it eternal value.

What Joseph Finally Understood

Joseph experienced his share of injustice as a young man; and though he never turned his back on God, there was a time when he did not understand. Then, about 22 years later, it all became clear, he began to see the BIG picture. God is painting a BIG picture on the canvas of our lives as well. This message provides several insights for those times when we just don't understand.

Improving Your Serve

In the twilight hours of His earthly ministry, Jesus taught his disciples one of the most valuable lessons of life; the importance of serving one another. Most Christians understand that they are supposed to serve, but they are not always to eager to do so; like the disciples of old, there's plenty of room for improvement. This message gives some very practical pointers for improving our serve.

Faith that Makes a Difference

God can use you to make a difference in someone's life. The man in our text was sick of the palsy, he suffered some form of paralysis. Our world is full of people who are paralyzed in one way or another; they need someone to take an interest in them and do whatever it takes to get them to Jesus where their soul can be saved and their life changed. This requires faith; the kind of faith that makes a difference in people's lives.

Cultivating Contentment in Our Christian Life

During the Christmas season it is so easy to be swayed by the spirit of this world working overtime to stir the chords of discontentment within us. We're repeatedly bombarded with advertising telling us we need the bigger, the better, the newer so that we can be happy; nothing can be further from the truth. God sends us a clear message in our text - we already have everything we need for our present and future happiness; we simply need to be content. But contentment does not come naturally, we discuss three concepts that will help cultivate contentment in our Christian lives.

What Does It Cost To Give Thanks?

Daniel was the target of deceitful decree. His enemies knew if they were ever to ensnare him, they would have to find issue with his service to God, and so they made it illegal for him to pray. When Daniel knew the decree was made law, he went to his usual spot, opened the window toward Jerusalem and prayed and gave thanks to God. He was well aware of the cost of his decision, and he still gave thanks. What can we glean from the example of this grateful man?
